How to Play: Basic Instructions
The game starts with all pieces face down. To turn all your pieces face up you have to capture the flag. White team must capture the black flag and black team must capture the white flag .
Capturing the Flag: a player can jump over or directly on a flag in order to capture it. Once the flag is captured it turns over all of that players games pieces. Once the pieces are turned over they can be paired in a specific order (set of three) to enhance the player jumping ability by levels as detailed below.
All pieces that are unstacked, whether face down or face up , are considered Level 1. Level 1 pieces are restricted to the movements that correspond to their board position (up-down, vertically, or left-right, horizontally, ).
Level 1 can only move along the restricted board as allowed unless their is an opportunity to capture his opponents game piece.
Jumping: a level 1 player can jump over its own player as well as capture any game piece it jumps over. In order to complete a jump there must be an empty space directly infront of the piece its jumping over. In this case, he/she can jump over the game piece to capture it. More advanced moves are achieved by pairing player sets together. Player Sets are the combined L1, L2, and L3 pieces of a character set (i.e. BDBots™ Fire Dragon Set: , , ) or color set (i.e. MegoWars™ Orange Set: , , ).
Level 2 is reached by pairing 2 out of the 3 pieces in a player set. For instance, pairing an L1 piece with an L2 piece creates a Level 2
piece with less restrictions than Level 1. Creating a Level 2 from a character set is similar: + =
All Level 2s can move left-right, horizontally, and up-down, vertically, over 2 spaces at a time. Level 2 can only move along the restricted board as allowed unless its jumping in which it can jump over 2 pieces at a time horizontally and vertically.
Jumping: a level 2 player can jump horizontally and vertically over 2 pieces at a time including its own player as long as there is an empty space directly infront of the piece(s) its jumping over.
Level 3 is reached by pairing a Level 2 set with the third piece in its player set. For instance, pairing a Level 2 set
with an L3 piece creates a Level 3
piece with the least restrictions of all.
Level 3s can move left-right (horizontally), up-down (vertically), and diagonally over 3 spaces at a time.
Level 3 can only move along the restricted board area unless its jumping in which it can jump over 3 pieces at a time in any direction.
Jumping: a level 3 player can jump horizontally, vertically, and diagonally over 3 pieces at a time including its own player as long as there is an empty space directly infront of the piece(s) its jumping over.
Once a piece is captured it is placed in a cell. It can be freed by its own team when they land on that square.
